Why We Give

Growing in Generosity

Our walk with Christ is a lifelong journey of spiritual growth. As we mature in faith, one important area where God shapes us is generosity.

In the Old Testament, we see the practice of tithing—giving 10% of our income to support God’s work. In the New Testament, the focus deepens: giving becomes a matter of the heart.
In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul commends the Macedonian churches for their overwhelming generosity, even in the midst of hardship. Their example reminds us that true generosity flows from joyful surrender to God.

As disciples of Jesus, we’re called to grow in every area of life—including how we handle our finances. That growth looks different for everyone:

-Maybe it’s giving for the first time.

-Maybe it’s beginning to give consistently—weekly or monthly.

-Maybe it’s stepping into tithing—giving 10%.

-Or perhaps God is gently leading you toward a deeper level of generosity.

Wherever you are in your journey, take your next step in faith. Let giving be a reflection of your trust in God and your love for others.
